Una Voce Rhode Island
Promoting the Traditonal Latin Mass
About Us

Una Voce Rhode Island, formed in 2003, is a chapter of Una Voce America and the Foederatio Internationalis Una VoceUna Voce is an international lay Catholic organization dedicated to preservation of the traditional Roman Mass (sometimes called the Tridentine Mass) as one of the forms of Eucharistic worship honored in Catholic liturgical life.  Una Voce also promotes the use of Latin, Gregorian Chant, and sacred polyphony in Catholic liturgy.

In anticipation of Pope Benedict XVI's de-restriction of the traditional Mass, Una Voce America began working with the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter in early 2007 to offer training workshops for priests interested in learning how to celebrate the traditional Roman Rite.  Since the promulgation of Summorum Pontificum on 7 July 2007 Una Voce Rhode Island has produced various materials and resources to assist local priests who deisre to learn about the "Extraordinary Form" of the Roman Rite.

Una Voce Rhode Island and Una Voce America pursue these goals in full communion with the Pope and our local bishops.  We do not promote the activities of any group, individual, or cleric not in full communion with the Holy See.
